Actress Jiah Khan passed away at the age of 24 on 3 June 2013. She was found hanging in her Juhu house around midnight. On 7 June 2013, a six – page hand- written note was found at her residence by her sister allegedly addressed to Jiah’s boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi. Actor Sooraj Pancholi was arrested by the Juhu police on the basis of that letter written by Jiah Khan under the section of 306 (abetment to suicide) on 10 June 2013. He was kept in custody for almost a month till Bombay High Court granted him bail on July 3. Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan had claimed that she was killed.
The verdict is out and Sooraj Pancholi gets Relief from the case. The verdict was announced on Friday afternoon. Sooraj Pancholi was seen in court with his mother actress Zarina Wahab, while later Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia was also present in the court. Sooraj has been acquitted, Jiah’s mother is not happy with the verdict and is planning to challenge the same in highest courts. She maintained that this was a case of murder and not suicide.
Almost a decade after Jiah Khan’s suicide case, a special CBI court in Mumbai today acquitted Sooraj Pancholi of abetment charges. To this the actor reacted on Instagram. In his Instagram story he posted “The Truth Always Wins” with the hashtag ‘GodlsGreat’ coupled with praying hands and a heart emoji.
Finally Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj Pancholi is not found guilty and gets Relief, court acquits him due to lack of evidence.
