Yet another head-to-head competition between the Indian National Congress(INC) and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) to grab the most seats in the Karnataka election 2023. With more than 130 seats, Congress has crossed half of the 224 seats and is clearly leading with a majority in the Karnataka elections.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his view on how Congress stood with the poor in Karnataka and fought for their issues. He even said that he want to thank the people of Karnataka, Congress workers and leaders. “Karnataka mein Nafrat ki bazaar band hui hai, Mohabbat ki dukaan khuli hai,” says Rahul Gandhi.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “I thank the people of Karnataka for giving a huge mandate to Congress. We will uphold their belief in us. We will implement all the welfare schemes we have announced in our manifesto. I thank Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi who campaigned even when she wasn’t well.”

Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai admitted the defeat and said, “Despite a lot of efforts put in by the Prime Minister and the BJP workers, we have not been able to make the mark…Once the full results come, we will do a detailed analysis.”

BJP won 104 seats in the 2018 elections. BJP leader BS Yediyurappa said, “Victory and defeat aren’t new to BJP. Party workers need not be panicked by these results. We will introspect about the party’s setback. I respectfully accept this verdict.”
