Donald Trump Wins the United States Presidential elections
Donald Trump, former president of the United States of America is set to make a comeback after crossing the mark of 270 electoral votes. After winning Wisconsin, Trump secured additional 10 electoral votes, thus, making him cross the 270 mark by gaining 277 electoral votes. Trump is set to win all seven swing states. He has already won in North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Counting is still going on in Arizona, Nevada and Michigan. However, Trump is holding a lead in all the remaining swing states.
Currently, Trump holds a lead of 49.9% in Michigan, 51.5% in Nevada and 51.9% in Arizona. It is expected that just like 2016 presidential elections, Trump will cross the mark of 300 electoral votes. Trump survived criminal convictions, indictments and assassination attempts. He became the first president to lose a re-election and then later on win an election again since the 1800s. Trump successfully defeated Kamala Harris in a 105 day campaign. At the age of 78, Trump has broken the record of oldest president being elected for president—a record which was previously broken by President Joe Biden.
Donald Trump gives victory speech in Florida
Donald Trump gave the victory speech in Florida while the electoral votes in the swing states were still being counted. In his victory speech, Trump called the 2024 presidential election as “greatest political movements of all time”, he also said that he will help the United States of America heal, by adding that he will fix the borders and fix everything about the United States of America.
He also thanked his supporters for electing him as 47th President of the United States and as well as 45th President of the United States. In his victory speech, Trump also thanked his vice president elect JD Vance, wife Melania Trump and his children. He also gave a shout out to Tesla CEO and owner of the X, Elon musk, who has been one of the major supporters of him.
Donald Trump receives greetings from the world leaders
Donald Trump received greetings from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “Heartiest congratulations my friend, @realDonaldTrump on your historic election victory. As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our collaboration to further strengthen the India-US comprehensive Global and Strategic partnership. Together let’s work for the betterment of our people and promote global peace, stability and prosperity” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on X, by congratulating Trump for winning the US presidential elections.
Trump also received greetings from Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “Dear Donald and Melania Trump, Congratulations on History’s greatest comeback! Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America. This is a huge victory!”, said Benjamin Netanyahu on the X.
British Prime minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Australian Prime minister Anthony Albanese, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Italian Prime minister Giorgia Meloni, Argentinian President Javier Miliei, Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro were some of the other leaders who congratulated Trump on his win in the United States elections. However, as per Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir has “no plans to congratulate former president Trump on his election night victory.”
Kamala Harris abandons supporters after losing the presidential elections
Vice President Kamala Harris canceled her post-verdict speech at Howard University as Trump was winning the US presidential elections. Instead of Kamala Harris, her campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond addressed the crowd gathered for Vice President Kamala Harris’s election night, it left her supporters disappointed. ++
