Indian Space Research Organization aka ISRO was founded on 15th August 1969 by an Indian Physicist and astronomer Vikram Sarabhai a vision to develop and harness space technology in national development, while pursuing planetary exploration and space science research. Recently it came into limelight once again as the news of ‘Chandrayan 3’ came out. It got launched on 14th July with a mission for a far more complicated 41-day voyage to reach the lunar south pole where no other nation has gone before.
Now, ISRO has released a list of their 5 upcoming missions which are as follows:-
1)Aditya L1 launching on 26th August 2023, it’s mission is to study Sun.
2) Gangayaan launching in 2024, it’s mission to send humans in space for the first time who would be called as ‘Vyomanauts’.
3)NISAR launching in 2024, it is said to be NASA’s and ISRO’s best radar imaging satellite with a mission to map the entire Earth in just 12 days!
4)Mangalyaan 2 launching in 2024, after the loss of communication with Mangalyaan1, India will send Mangalyaan2 into Mar’s orbit to study its surface and atmosphere.
5)Shukrayaan said to launch between 2026-2031, after the successful imprintation of footsteps on Mars, ISRO wishes to reach Venus through this orbital mission.
