Prime minister Narendra Modi’s mother dies at the age of 100

PM Modi’s mother Heeraben passed away at the age of 100. She was admitted in
UN Mehta Hospital after her health deteriorated in Ahemdabad.
“A glorious century rests at the feet of God… In Maa I have always felt that trinity,
which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and
a life committed to values.” PM Modi tweeted.
“When I met her on her 100th birthday, she said one thing always remembered
work with intelligence, live life with purity.”
Over the demise of Heeraben Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and Congress
president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed their condolence.
Expressing the grief over demise, Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, “It is very
sad to know about the demise of the Prime Minister ji’s respected Mataji Hira Ba.
Mother is the first friend and teacher of a person’s life, the pain of losing whom
is undoubtedly the biggest pain in the world.”
