The craze for IPL 2023 is all over the internet with a list of trending hashtags and the fans are supporting their team to make sure they get the most weightage. The enthusiasts at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad are all set to witness the combat between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
The new venues announced are Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Mohali, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati and Dharamshala. Cricket lovers all over India are ready to be occupied by IPL 2023.
The opening ceremony kick-started with several lavish performances by star performers Arijit Singh, Tamanna Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna among other artists. On being asked about their favourite cricket players Rashmika said, “Of course, Dhoni sir and Virat sir. All of our players are at top-notch.”
Seems like Tamanna also has a similar taste as she replied, “Definitely Dhoni is everyone’s favourite and I am no different and Virat. I think these two are my favourites.” With the team posing with the trophy, the opening ceremony comes to an end with fireworks bursting to celebrate the further game.
Gujarat Titans captain Hardik wins the toss and opts to bowl. After winning the toss, Hardik said, “We’ll bowl first. It’s always good to play here. New start, new season, quite exciting. Almost everyone in the country has got motivation from him (Dhoni). Been a fan and admirer of him. Want boys to enjoy it. Result will take care of itself. It’s different – I’ve left it in the coach. Ashu pa works all night on what needs to be done. I don’t know”
CSK captain Dhoni said, “We’re also looking to bowl. Looks a like good wicket and I don’t think it will change. Don’t know if there will be dew because it rained last night. You want to play in front of people. This stadium is twice the capacity of other stadiums. Fantastic atmosphere. The preparations were good. We assembled quite early. It’s a luxury to have. It becomes slightly easy to take the decision because you can use it at any time. Influence of all-rounder has become slightly less because of the rule.”
