Another hit and drag case has sufaced where the body of a man was dragged under a car for several kilometres on the Yamuna Expressway before passing from toll booth near Mathura. The deceased’s identity is yet to be discovered. The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to the security personnel at the toll booth near Mathura, he noticed the body stucked underneath the car when it was on it’s way from Noida to Agra.
The car was being drived by Virender Singh who is currently being interrogated by the police and the cameras on the routes are being scanned. The police is talking to the nearby localites so as to discover the man’s indentity.
Quoting Virendra Singh, the Superintendent of Police (SP Dehat) Trigun Bisen said, “There was dense fog on the Expressway last night; hence, there was poor visibility due to which the man met with an accident and his body got stuck with the car,”
After investigating the CCTV footage, it was found that the the deceased’s shoes and mobile phone were found lying on milestone 106 of the Yamuna Expressway. “It is being feared that the accident might have happened there,” further added the SP.
This road accident copied the dread of the the Kanjhawala case where a 20-year-old woman named Anjanli, died after being dragged by the vehicle for around 12 km from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala in Delhi. The scooter that she was riding collided with the car which was driven by five youths who were arrested followed by the incident.
