Bollywood movie Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, featuring the star couple Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan was released in theatres in September 2022 and emerged as a super hit Hindi movie of the year. Now, the film’s director Ayaan Mukerji has dropped an interesting update about the film’s upcoming instalments in his latest Instagram post.
The filmmaker has released a note in which he mentioned, “I have been focused on creating the Vision for Part Two and Part Three – which I now know will be bigger and more ambitious than Part One! I have learnt that we need a little more time to perfect the script of Brahmastra Two and Three! And… I have decided that we are going to make the two films… Together! Allowing them to also release closer together!”
In addition, he said that Brahmastra Parts 2 and 3 will be made available in December 2026 and December 2027, respectively. The sequel to the Brahmastra trilogy will thus have to be delayed for another three years.
The high-on-VFX Brahmastra, which was produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures, has well-known actors and team members.
The conclusion of Brahmastra hinted that Dev and Amrita will be the focus of the sequel. While the film hinted that Deepika Padukone will play Amrita, it is yet unknown who would play Dev. There have been several rumours about it, though; some imply that Ranveer Singh would be cast as Dev
