The FSSAI ordered on April 2 that food products be categorized appropriately.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had previously issued a directive on April 2nd, requiring all e-commerce companies to appropriately categorize food products available for purchase on their websites. Additionally, the authority had inquired that terms such as “energy drink” and “health drink” not be misapplied to promote beverages.

Bortavita had previously been issued a notice by the NCPCR regarding excessive sugar.

A notification was issued by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) to Mondelez International India Limited, the manufacturer of Bournvita, last year. A complaint has reportedly been lodged regarding the substantial quantity of sugar present in this product. Additionally, certain components may be detrimental to the well-being of children. As a result, the organization ought to conduct a comprehensive examination of and rescind all deceptive promotional materials, packaging, and labels associated with its merchandise.

The media report cites a market study which projects that the Indian energy drinks and sports drinks industry is presently worth $4.7 billion. From now until 2028, this market is anticipated to expand at a CAGR of 5.71%.

Does supplementing milk with chocolate powder promote health?

Following the exclusion of Bournvita and other similar beverages from the health drink category, individuals are contemplating whether it is beneficial to supplement children’s milk with chocolate powder. Does it really matter? There is no harm in causing illness by giving too much to children.

Experts assert that no specific research has been conducted regarding the dangers of chocolate powder. If produced by a reputable company, this substance does not pose significant harm.

Major corporations manufacture it with international health regulations in view.

  • A few considerations should be made by parents when introducing chocolate powder to their children. For instance, parents should peruse the ingredient list printed on the back of the package or box before purchasing the product.
  • Additionally, there should be daily restrictions on the quantity and frequency of chocolate powder administration to the child.
  • It is not the case that the child consumes the chocolate powder contained in the bowl prior to consuming. Twice or thrice daily, consume it.
  • Sugar will be added to the milk the more frequently you administer it, which is harmful. Sugar will be added to the mixture if you add chocolate powder or another artificial flavoring, which is detrimental to health.
  • Regardless, sugar is composed of carbohydrates; therefore, children can obtain it from regular food consumption, eliminating the necessity for additional carbohydrate supplements.

What are the negative consequences of consuming more delectable foods?

This may potentially cause injury…

  • It elevates the likelihood of developing cardiovascular disease and cerebrovascular accidents.
  • A buildup of cholesterol within the organism. Diabetes could be the cause.
  • Alzheimer’s disease may contribute to an increased risk.
  • Toothache discomfort can be problematic.
  • Sugar influences psychological health. This negatively impacts memory.
  • 500 percent fewer white blood cells are produced when sugar is consumed. This strengthens the immune system.
  • Non-alcoholic obese liver may present complications. This facilitates fat storage in the liver.
