A 12-year-old minor boy died after a fire broke out in several hutments in Kurar village of Malad area in Mumbai on Monday, February 13. The official said that the blaze erupted at around 11:15 am and was constricted to 50 to 100 hutments. The official said it was a ‘level-two’ (major) fire. After the incident, the official said that a boy was rushed to Shatabdi hospital where he was declared dead. The deceased has been identified as Prem Tukaram Bore, according to officials.

The officials said that eight fire engines, four jumbo tankers, an ambulance, and other assistants were rushed to the spot. The official said that two hose lines were also in operation and the blaze was brought under control, adding that a cooling operation was on.
The cause of the fire is still unknown details are awaited.
