Amazon Prime has come with a fanatical show named FARZI directed by the crazy duo Raj & DK. Starring some exceptionally talented artists like Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, and Raashii Khanna in crucial roles. The show deals with the blatant crime of counterfeiting.
Plot:
Sandeep alias Sunny (Shahid Kapoor) is a small-time sketch artist. His grandfather runs a printing press for his revolutionist journal Kranti Patrika which is about to shut down due to massive debts. With no other choice left, Sunny and his friend Firoz (Bhuvan Arora) start designing counterfeit currency. Mansoor Dalal (Kay Kay Menon), a bigwig in the world of counterfeiting, notices proficiency of Sunny and makes him a part of his business. On the other hand, Micheal (Vijay Sethupathi), a fiery task force officer, is determined to exterminate fake currency in India. He deploys a different team for the same, and Megha (Raashii Khan) is a part of it. Did Michael accomplish his mission? How did Sunny’s life change due to this illicit business? Why watch it?
When a show like this is made with a ton of talented actors, it is difficult to strike a balance between all the characters. But as usual, Raj & DK have prevailed in this aspect favourably. Every character that appears in the show has got significance.
Shahid Kapoor, as Sunny has nailed it. Shahid is the essence of Farzi, around whom the entire plot rotates. Be it comedy, emotion, action, or romance, the actor gave it his all. Shahid looks incredible in the show, with a great acting performance.
Vijay Sethupathi is an abundance of talent, and the actor once again gives a spectacular performance in the show. He is fierce as the task force officer, and no other actor can be imagined doing the same. His comedy timing is sure to fondle your bones. Vijay Sethupathi’s scenes with the Central Minister will be all-time funny.
Kay Kay Menon is good as the evildoer. The chase game that runs between the cops and the gangsters will keep you hooked for the mostly.
Raashii Khanna plays a very crucial role, and she is rocking in it.
Why not watch it?
The series is very lengthy. Due to this excessive length, the impact at times will be lessened.
On the whole, Farzi is entertaining. Splendid performances, intelligent writing, stylish action scenes, and light humour are its advantages.
