The trailer of Karan Johar produced film Selfie was posted on Instagram by actor Akshay Kumar with the caption, ““Iss Kahani Ka Villain toh Pata nahi par hero #selfiee hai! Watch #selfiee Trailer now. #Selifee releasing only in cinemas on February 24.”
The stars gathered at Fun Republic mall at Andheri West for the promotions and trailer launch. Director Raj Mehta had already tasted success with his two previous dharma films namely Good Newzz and Jug Jug Jeeyo.
In the latest 3 minute movie trailer Emraan appeared as a cop who yearned for a selfie with his favourite actor, Vijay (played by Akshay). In the trailer as events unfold, an altercation between a celebrity and a fan leads towards a cold war beginning.
The actor shared the highly anticipated trailer on social media, and fans instantly flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons.
We are excited for selfie Akki sir, said a fan.
Seems as a must watch after a long time, remarked another fan expressing love on the trailer.
Another user commented, “Blockbuster Trailer Aag laga diya selfiee ne.”
The movie which is a remake of the original Malayalam movie Driving License is slated to release on 24th February. Alongside Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, Nushrat Bharucha and Diana Penty are in key roles in the movie.
