An entire community in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, is in disbelief after a housekeeper who worked for almost ten years at a businessman’s home was charged with carrying out an indecent and upsetting act in the family kitchen. This week, a family member’s covertly filmed video of the incident went viral on social media, sparking considerable indignation. The family had been suspicious of her activities and installed CCTV cameras on August 20. The footage confirmed their doubts and exposed them.

When the video got to the local officials, things got worse. Sanjay Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) at Nagina Police Station, confirmed the arrest. “Police have filed a case against her, and they are still looking into it,” he said, adding that she was arrested on Thursday.
In another video, the woman was seen urinating into a glass and sprinkling it on family dishes. The public’s disgust and calls for a full investigation have only grown stronger since these facts came to light.
