Aditya Singh Rajput was an actor, model, and casting coordinator who died on May 22nd, 2023, in Mumbai at his Andheri apartment. He was found dead in his bathroom; apparently, his housemaid heard him fall and quickly went to get help. He was taken to Trauma Care Hospital at Green Heights, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Some of the sources have said that maybe the cause of death was a drug overdose, but some say that he had not been well for the past few days and refused to take medicines for the same. Everything will be confirmed after the post-mortem, according to sources.
Aditya started his career as a model, then continued as an actor. After setting his career on a good path, he also became a casting coordinator, who launched many new and fresh faces with time. He contributed a lot and was well-versed in and connected to this industry. He acted in films such as Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara. He participated in more than 300 commercials as a model.
Aditya Singh Rajput gained fame after participating in Splitsvilla Season 9 as a contestant. He acted in projects related to MTV like Love, Aashiqui, Code Red, Aawaz Season 9, Bad Boy Season 4, Cambala Investigation Agency, and many more. After this, he got involved with casting crews and production houses.
As of now, the actor’s death has been registered at Oshiwari Police Station as an accidental death. Senior Inspector Mohan Patil was the one under whom the case has been given. He said, “Rajput woke up around 11 a.m., ate parathas for breakfast, and had not been feeling well since. Around 2.30 pm, he told the housekeeper who stayed with him to make some khichadi for lunch. He again complained of feeling nauseous and went to the bathroom. A few minutes later, the housekeeper heard a thud and called out for help.
“The housekeeper also called a friend of the actor, who came over and took him to Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari, where he was declared dead on arrival,” added the inspector. He was shifted from the bathroom to his bed with the help of his housemaid, watchmen, and his friend.
It was said that Aditya was living with two roommates in a 3-bedroom apartment on the 11th floor of the Andheri apartment. “The other two are working professionals and were not at home at the time of the incident,” the police said.
The inspector said that he had been unwell for the past few days and that there were two injuries on his body when he was inspected. A cut on his left ear and a big bump on the back of his head. It was said that Aditya had been partying and enjoying himself with his friends for the past few days, as said by officials. That can be a reason for his death; he might have overdosed on drugs and slipped in the bathroom.
Many of Aditya’s friends and family came by his apartment on Monday evening. On Tuesday, many of his friends, colleagues, and family paid their respects at his funeral. Actors, models, and filmmakers like Rajiv Adatia, Ashok Pandit, Rohit Verma, Harsh Rajput, Arya Babbar, and many more. His mother stays alone in Delhi; she rushed to Mumbai at 11p.m., on May 22nd, 2023. His family, friends, and whole industry are extremely disheartened and in shock.
His last rites took place on May 23rd, 2023, i.e., Tuesday in the afternoon. He was cremated on Tuesday, after the post-mortem and the arrival of his family. His mortal remains were kept at Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Centre. Though the family is in shock, the police are still investigating the case and the cause of Aditya’s death.
