Eknath Sambhaji Shinde is an Indian politician and President of Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena, born in a small village on 9 February 1964 in Thane district, Maharashtra.
He was raised by his parents, Shri Sambhaji Shinde and Smt. Gangubai Sambhaji Shinde, who worked as farmers in the local area. His father was a strict disciplinarian and instilled a strong work ethic in him from a young age.
Eknath Shinde attended a local school in his village and then went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in arts from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. After graduating, he pursued a degree in Law from Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
Eknath shinde’s political career and his contribution to Maharashtra
Eknath Shinde has been a major political figure in India since the 1990s. He has held posts in several government and political positions, including being a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Thane and the Home Minister of Maharashtra. He has also held the position of Minister of Public Works in the Maharashtra government.
In 2017, he was appointed as the Home Minister of Maharashtra and played a pivotal role in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s successful campaign in the 2019 elections. Eknath Shinde is a respected leader and continues to be a major political figure in India.
In 2005, he was appointed as the Minister of State, Department of Home and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. In 2014, he was appointed as the cabinet minister for Energy, Government of Maharashtra.
In 2020, he rebelled against his party and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition and became the 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Since then, he has served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Shinde has been an active participant in numerous projects and initiatives throughout his political career. He has been involved in a number of initiatives to benefit the people of Maharashtra, such as the initiative to provide basic amenities like water, education, and healthcare to rural areas.
He also worked to improve the infrastructure of the state and has been credited with the successful implementation of numerous projects aimed at improving the quality of life in the state.
He has also been actively involved in the conservation of rivers, lakes, and forests. He has been a staunch proponent of animal rights and has been an active advocate for the protection of endangered species. He also worked for the betterment of the economically weaker sections of society, such as farmers and the rural poor.
Eknath Shinde has been a key player in improving the infrastructure of Maharashtra.
He has championed numerous projects to this end, such as the expansion of the Mumbai-Nagpur super communication highway or Samruddhi Corridor.
He has also pushed for the construction of a bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, a western-dedicated freight corridor, a Pune-Nashik high-speed rail corridor, redevelopment of BDD chawls, and land for a car shed and depot at Mogharpada in Thane.
Other projects mentioned include redevelopment of Bandra Government Colony, Pune ring road, MMRDA Metro lines, MMRCL Metro line 3, and Cidco Metro as well as key irrigation projects such as Kalu dam, Balganga and Kondhane.
He has struggled a lot in life.
He grew up in a poverty-stricken family in Thane in the state of Maharashtra, India. He struggled to make ends meet but was determined to make a name for himself. In order to get ahead in life, he worked various odd jobs such as a tea-taster and a night watchman.
He also found success in his business ventures and eventually became a leader in the Shiv Sena party. His hard work and determination enabled him to rise through the ranks and he was eventually appointed as the Home Minister of Maharashtra in 2017.
Despite his struggles, he was able to excel academically, winning several scholarships and eventually graduating from the University of Pune with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
He then worked in the construction field before entering politics. His career in politics has been a roller coaster of successes and failures, but he has stayed true to his cause of improving the lives of citizens of Maharashtra.
From his early election campaigns to his tenure as Deputy Chief Minister, Minister for Public Works, and most recently, Chief Minister, Shinde’s dedication to public service has been unwavering.
