Om Prakash Rajbhar, an influential leader among the Rajbhar community in eastern Uttar Pradesh, has returned to the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). His return to the NDA is a result of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) efforts to strengthen its ranks, especially among the backward classes, ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Rajbhar had left the BJP ahead of the 2022 assembly polls and had allied with the Samajwadi Party. His return to the NDA is seen as a boost to the BJP’s efforts to expand its presence in Uttar Pradesh. Rajbhar’s entry is expected to strengthen the NDA in Uttar Pradesh and further boost its efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the welfare of the state. The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), which Rajbhar leads, will be officially joining the NDA alliance.
“Met Shri Om Prakash Rajbhar ji in Delhi and he decided to join the NDA alliance led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. I welcome him to the NDA family. The arrival of Rajbhar ji will strengthen the NDA in Uttar Pradesh and the efforts being made by the NDA under the leadership of Modi ji for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden will get further strength.” Tweeted Amit Shah on twitter by welcoming Om Prakash Rajbhar in the alliance
