Pathaan collection Day 8: Shah Rukh Khan’s film continues to mint money despite a 20% drop in collections on Wednesday. It passed the Rs 600 crore worldwide yesterday, and is on track to cross Rs 700 crore in the next few days.

Shah Rukh Khan returned to the big screen after over four years and helped pull Bollywood out of the weeds with director Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan. The film has been crushing records since its day of release, after a grand opening of 57 crore.
Taran Adarsh, Pathaan earned around 17.50cr. On its eighth day of release, bringing its total domestic collection total 348.50cr, including its earning in dubbed versions. There was a drop of 20 per cent from Tuesday, but some pockets managed to hold their ground. With this, Its has beat Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai Nett box office collection of 339.16 crores
The spy-thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand and also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
According to certain reports, the pathan Day 8 Box Office collection can be estimated at over 100 crores depending on the results of the film’s advance booking. The movie was directed by Siddharth Anand, an Indian producer, screenwriter, and filmmaker .

Pathaan’s box office performance comes as a relief for Shah Rukh Khan as well. His last four films Zero ,Fan,Raees and Jab Harry Met Sejal all underperformed commercially. It’s also a confidence booster for Bollywood, as the film industry had only a handful of hits last year, with only a few crossing the 200 crore mark. Pathaan has received positive reviews from critics, praising Shah Rukh Khan’s charisma and the John Abraham’s performance as the villain. The film kicked of YRF’S spy universe, which will continue in the upcoming Tiger 3.
