On Thursday 5 January 2023, Amit Shah Union Home Minister made an announcement that Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be inaugurated on January 2024 while addressing a public rally in Tripura.
The assembly elections are likely to be held by March 2023 in Tripura.
PM Modi had performed the ‘bhoomi pujan’ before beginning the construction of the temple on 5 August 2020.

Amit shah targeted the Congress party and said “From the day when Babur destroyed the temple and from the day of independence this Congress people got it embroiled in court. Sessions Court, High Court, Supreme Court, again Sessions Court. One morning, the Supreme Court order came. Modiji performed the Bhoomi Pujan for Ram Lalla’s temple and the construction work began”.
“Friends, I have come to tell you one thing. In the 2019 elections, I was president of the party BJP and Rahul Baba was president of the Congress. Rahul Baba would say everyday will build a temple there but will not tell you the date.”

General Election are expected to be held in May 2024 and the opening of Ram Mandir can a big event for BJP.
