A surprise raid in the jail cell of Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar left him weeping in front of Jailor Deepak Sharma and another officer as they carried out the surprise raid along with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, showed CCTV visuals from the jail.
The results of the surprise raid were the confiscation of items worth lakhs. A Gucci sandal worth Rs 1.5 lakh and two pairs of jeans worth Rs 80,000 were found in the alleged conman’s prison cell in Mandoli Jail.
Earlier, the alleged con man has arrested for money laundering of Rs 200 crore. This case involved Bollywood actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi who was even questioned by the cops.
Sukesh was arrested last week by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a fresh money laundering case that is related to the alleged fraud committed against the wife of former Religare promoter, Malvinder Singh.
It has been reported that Malvinder Singh’s wife Japna is alleged to have paid Rs 3.5 crores after she was conned that this money would be used to bail her husband out.
Chandrashekhar was taken into custody under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) from a local jail last week. A Delhi court later sent him to nine-day ED custody.
