Swara Bhaskar and Fahad Ahmed hosted a wedding reception in Delhi after registering their marriage last month, under the special marriage act. They tied the knot in an intimate setting with only friends and family present.
The reception held on the 16th of March was a hotspot for multiple leaders in the political circle. Leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Jaya Bachchan, Shashi Tharoor, and many more attended the event. Akhilesh Yadav was also spotted at her pre-wedding “Qawwali Nights” festivities to give the couple their blessings.
Swara Bhaskar, a Bollywood actress known for her roles in movies such as Veere Di Wedding, Tanu Weds Manu, Raanjhanaa, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and many more. Her father is Commodore Uday Bhaskar, an Indian Navy officer, currently, the director of the society of political studies and her mother is Ira Bhaskar, a professor of cinema studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University. She also did a master’s degree in sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
She met her now husband Fahad Ahmed at a CAA ( Citizen Amendment Act ) Protest on stage in Delhi back in 2020. Her husband Fahad Ahmed is a political activist and a leader of the Samajwadi party youth wing. Their passion and love for politics brought them together. The couple took Twitter by storm when they announced their wedding, which took place in a court ceremony on the 16th of February, through their respective social media accounts.
