Turkey faced a deadly earthquake magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale in decades. Over1000+ people are dead thousand of are still trapped under pile of concrete and dust. more than 2800+ building are destroyed today. The quake had its epicentre in Gaziantep a city about 90 kilometres from the Syrian border. This is the region which shelter millions of refugees from the Syrian civil war. The quake was also felt in CARIO capital of capital of Egypt. There is more damage and lose of lives in Syria.
“India will be sending 2 teams of NDFR compressing of 100+ personals with trained dog squade. Medial team including doctors and paramedics with much needed medicines. This will be done by in coordination with Indian embassy in Ankara and government of turkey” PMO statement added. The decision was taken at (PMO) prime minister office headed by principal secretary of PM Modi.
The head of Syria’s national earthquake center, Read ahmed, told that this was “historically the biggest earthquake recorded of center”
Turkeys oil pipelines are undamaged and continues to flow oil as big part of economy relies on oil. 7.8 magnitude quake affected southeast turkey and northan Syria. Many western country have also offered help to both the country. Russian President Vladimir Putin also offered condolences in telegrams to the leaders of Syria and Turkey.
