Shahid Kapoor revealed the official first-look poster of his upcoming action, thriller Bloody Daddy. He took social media to share the poster.
On Wednesday, April 12, the actor shared the poster of Bloody Daddy. It features him in an intense and fierce look with some injuries on his face. Its teaser will be released soon. The official date is yet to be revealed.
He captioned the post as ” Teaser dropping BLOODY soon”.
Fans flooded the comment sections of his post. His look is compared to Keanu Reeves’s in John Wick. One of them wrote, “Indian John Wick” while another comment read, ” (fire emoticon) finally”
Bloody Daddy is a thriller, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film also stars Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, and Vivan Bhatena.
This film is reported to be the official Indian adaptation of the French-language film Nuit Blanche. The original has previously been adapted as a Tamil-language film led by Kamal Haasan titled Thoongaa Vanam (2015). The Hindi film will reportedly arrive on OTT.
The film also marks the first collaboration between Shahid and Abbas. In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, the director shared, “We have packed and presented it as a brand-new film. What I am most excited about is the fact that people will see Shahid in an out-and-out action genre for the first time. It’s a cool contemporary action film. It has a very beautiful story, but a commercial pot-boiler.”
Shahid Kapoor is well known for being a multifaceted actor. He was initially known for his roles in romantic movies like Prem in Vivah and Aditya in Jab We Met. Since then he has also played multiple roles in action and thrillers proving his versatility.
He was last seen in the thriller web series Farzi, made by Raj and DK. Farzi also featured Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar in pivotal roles. The crime thriller marked the digital debut of Shahid and Vijay and streamed exclusively on Prime Video.
