BACKSTORY of Arshad Warsi
If you’re a Bollywood chunky like me, as soon as we hear the name “Circuit,” only one person strikes our mind! Yes, you guessed it right—it’s Arshad Warsi. Born on 19th April 1968, he did his schooling in Deolali Nashik and was a national level gymnast in his school time. He lost his parents at the age of 14 and got dropped out of 10th std to make money for his livelihood. He started selling lipsticks and nail paints door-to-door and meanwhile he developed interest in dancing.
HOW HE BECAME A CHOREGRAPHER:
Later, he joined Akhbar Sami’s dance group and this led him to his choreography career and he was part of films like Thikana and Kaash as a choreographer. started taking part in various competitions. His perseverance started to pay off and in 1991 he was the winner the Indian Dance competition and at the age of 21, he won fourth prize in the Modern Jazz category in the 1992’s World Dance Championship held in London and soon he opened his own dance studio named ‘Awesome’. He used to be called as a judge in various events and college functions and in one of those college festival he met his wife Maria Goretti and got married after 8 years of courtship on Valentine’s Day 1999. Now he’s blessed with two kids, a son Zeke Warsi and a daughter Zene Zoe Warsi.
STEPPING INTO BOLLYWOOD:
The one and only Big B launched him in Bollywood in the movie ‘Tere Mere Sapne’. He did many films but his role of Circuit in Munnabhai MBBS got him fame and enormous love by the audience that he was also nominated for the Best Supporting Actor in the Filmfare Awards. Also, this role established him as a comic character and got praised for his role in Golmaal and Dhamaal series. Arshad also hosted the first season of Bigg Boss in 2006. In the movie Salaam Namaste, his wife Maria and son Zeke did a cameo appearance.
NEW PROJECT:
Currently Arshad’s most recent web series ‘Asur’ is blowing minds of the audience and recently released second season has crossed 5million views on its opening weekend on Jio Cinema in India becoming the 27th most watched OTT Series in India.

But a couple of months ago, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi shared a movie poster without any title and captioned it saying,” Our wait has been longer than yours but the wait is finally over, coming together with my brother”. Fans believe that this might be the first look of Munnabhai 3.
